Spinning in Sunflowers

Designed for the 2019 AATCC Concept to Consumer Design Competition, Spinning in Sunflowers is a collection of water repellent clothing for color guard. Color guard is a visual representation of the storyline of the music marching bands play. The activity includes dancing and spinning flags, rifles, and sabres while outdoors to accompany the marching band.  Inspired by sunflowers, this collection serves to make spinning a flag in the rain a more enjoyable and achievable activity. As well as designing the collection of activewear, Allison also designed the two sunflower prints using hand drawing and Adobe Photoshop techniques.
